Nosara B & B is where I held my first Yoga Retreat for I AM YOGA RETREATS and it was amazing. The Pink Tree House is extremely charming the beautiful Jungle Sanctuary that surrounds the house and the Yoga Space made it even more amazing. We had the whole place to ourselves. Michael, Debra and Crystal, and the staff, took such good care of all of our needs. Being that the majority of us were from NYC, it felt perfect that we weren’t in the Center of town. The decor for the Tree house was very “Shabby Chic” and extremely sweet. If felt Cozy and very clean. We practiced Yoga surrounded by the most beautiful tropical foliage, with the sound of monkeys in the back ground. It was absolutely PERFECT!!! Whether you are planning a Yoga Retreat, or if you are traveling alone you will be extremely happy.

I stayed at the Nosara B&B based purely on the good vibes that other travelers had, and I was not disappointed. The NBB is gearing itself to be a retreat, and located at the top of Playa Pelada, it had the chill atmosphere of a secluded spot, but it was easily within walking distance of the beach and Playa Guiones.
The staff (Deborah, Michael and Crystal) were really nice, helpful and made my stay easy and relaxing. The rooms and facilities were clean and efficient and the grounds were planted with flowers and local plants. At the time I stayed, there was local delivery of fresh fruit and veggies, and whatever guides, kayaking or nature stuff you wanted to do was arranged by the staff.
I would definitely return if I was coming back to Nosara…
To the everyone at Nosara BB, thank you and have a great year!

I went for a Yoga retreat with Rhada and Pierre in Jan 2012. This was a perfect place to retreat for winter sun. Pelada beach is 2 min walk and most of the time there was no one else there. It is the Pacific tho and you have to be aware of the tides. Debra and her crew looked after us very well with great food and nice clean rooms. They also organized various trips for us. The Pavilion in the gardens is a perfect place to practice and I hope to be able to go back.

Nosara B&B worked beautifully for me. It’s rustic, meaning not fancy, but with enough to be quite comfortable. Nice setting with lots of jungle right up to the door. Wake up to howler monkeys and birds. The staff – Debra, Michael and Krystal – are friendly, helpful. If you like luxury, this is not the place for you. But if you like simple, comfortable and peaceful, it’s great. I hope I have another chance to stay there.

The buildings and gardens of the Nosara Retreat Center are inviting, gorgeous, comfortable and the location is almost out of this world: rich jungle, a short walk to the beach, to the Nosara River, to a biological preserve, and a brief drive to a wild monkey rescue center. The cooks are excellent and the food is grown locally and, best of all, the management responds to our needs, quickly and lovingly. We’ve gone there four years in a row and if you could dream up the ideal retreat, this would be it.

I loved my stay at Nosara B&B and can’t wait to go back. It’s quiet (except for the birds and monkeys!) and I really felt like I was in the jungle with all the lush vegetation throughout the property. I especially enjoyed using the yoga palapa and appreciated the clean mats provided. Debra, Michael & Krystal are exceptional at customer service and made my stay feel like it was with extended family rather than at a hotel.

After a long trip from Amsterdam I have been retreived in a very nice and relaxed manner. The crew of B&B is very helpful and does everything to make you feel at home. Rooms look nice and clean with hammocks outside ( a must for me :- ), open kitchen with locks against the pesota’s (Costa Rican raccoons).

I like them but don´t give them food, otherwise they will keep on visiting you at night ;-). Breakfasts where great and the dinners as well. B&B has a nice yoga platform made out of teakwood, great to practice on and in a nice surrounding by nature. A 5 minute walk from B&B and you are at the beach with various possibilities. When you take a walk from there, there are different places to have drinks and foods. What i like about the environment is that it is not crowded, people are relaxed and if you like to surf, there are pretty nice waves over here. Over all a nice place to reload, relax, do your yoga, enjoy nature and your hammock. Worthwhile to come back sometime. Cheers, Koen

We really enjoyed our stay at the Nosara B&B! Michael and Debra are wonderful hosts. The location is amazing…just a few minutes walk to the most beautiful beach and the wildlife in the area is incredible; howler monkeys, birds, coatis, etc. We had a really comfortable room with a porch/patio and a hammock which was wonderful after a long day at the beach. The open kitchen was great, too. Someone else mentioned it here – and we agree…the customer service is exceptional! Pura vida!

We´ve stayed there for 5 nights and it was totally worth it. Although we came here in the dry season the Retreat was green, nice and relaxing. The thing I liked the most was the fact that you actually have 4 beaches to visit and none of them is far away so that you can always get there by foot. The beach “Pelada” is just a 5 minute walk away and definitely the best beach! It`s quite and really nice. But still there’s the possibility to have some action and visit Playa Guiones where you can watch surfers or go out at night.  I would always come back and recommend it to everyone who wants to get to know the beaches of Guanacaste!! It`s an escape from all the touristy places!

The only thing I regret about staying at Nosara B&B Retreat is that it was only 1 night! We wanted more of this small yet cozy beautiful place, and the 5 minutes’ walk to Pelada Beach, was the lobby for such breathtaking Beach.
Once we met Crystal, Michael and Deborah we felt like we were at their home not at a business, you can feel a lot of positive energy! We’ll be back for more of cozy rooms, howling monkeys wake up calls, healthy breakfast, breathtaking Pelada Beach and warm care of Nosara B&B’s guys!

I stayed the 3rd week of April and found this property to be very well run, very nice room and great staff. The location is exceptional in the Nosara Area. Very quiet and very close to the beach. It is a short walk from Pelada to the Guiones Beach from here and you cannot beat the prices they charge. Costa Rica is expensive and it is a challenge to make any money running a hotel and not charging outrageous prices. The Nosara B&B is very reasonable and I found the attention to the details in my room and the property made it a very pleasant stay! The breakfast after morning walk was wonderful and talking with Michael and Debra was great! Thanks to Crystal for the easy reservation process and greeting me upon arrival! I will return!! Thanks again, Dan.

I came for a week in March and have nothing bad to say about Nosara B & B Retreat or the staff. It was safe, clean and the staff was both helpful and friendly. It is not the Four Seasons and if that is the experience you want you may be disappointed but it is absolutely lovely, perfectly sweet and charming. We stayed in the Mango room in the Treehouse. It was great to have access to the communal kitchen (we lucked out and had the whole thing to ourselves) Easy access to the beach, a mere 5 minute walk (bring sandals as the pavement gets toasty) The staff is intimate and extremely helpful but never in your face. It is a truly private a sweet experience and a great bang for your buck!
